L'Oreal has been an industry leader in beauty products for decades and their new RevitaLift anti-aging skin care line has garnered a great deal of attention. Here, we evaluate L'Oreal RevitaLift Complete Night Cream to see whether or not it is worth all of the attention it's been getting lately.

According to the product packaging, RevitaLift contains several ingredients - including a great many that are chemical or lab-produced. Here are a few of the ingredients:
This product can be purchased at the local drugstore, superstore, and even at some supermarkets. It is part of a larger product line, where each component (including this cream) is somewhat pricey when compared to many other drugstore products, but inexpensive when compared to "premium" products.
After reading positive reviews of other L'Oreal beauty products, I was eager to try this night cream.
To start with, the jar of cream comes in a box which I had some difficulty opening. The top of the box got snagged on the decorative flaps on the inside. However once I got it out, I was impressed by the appearance of the jar. The beautiful blue acrylic jar and smooth lid made it very easy to open and the 1.7 Oz jar certainly contains plenty of cream.
Once I opened the package, I could smell a pungent, yet distinctive odor: sunscreen. This scent would be more understandable in a day cream with SPF protection, but I was slightly confused as to why this night cream smelled like sunblock. Perhaps this strong smell is to cover the smell that may be generated by the extensive list of chemicals inside the product. The product itself is very thick and a little goes a long way. It takes slightly longer than most creams to rub into the skin and is slightly opaque until it is completely absorbed. It also leaves behind a bit of an oily feeling.
The box claims that skin will look revitalized immediately. I can attest to my skin looking more hydrated when I applied the cream, but most of today's top wrinkle creams plump up fine lines upon application. After 6 weeks of use, my skin was not much more visibly smoother or firmer than when I began using it.
